ADVANCED COMMUNITY ROTATION STUDY INFO
What is the Advanced Community Rotation Study?
Some of the experiential faculty at the school of pharmacy will be conducting a study over the course of the next school year (2007 / 2008). The study is being conducted to determine the differences in learning opportunities in a 10 week advanced community rotation at one pharmacy site versus two five-week rotations at separate pharmacy sites. Some of our students will be completing a 10 week rotation, while others will complete two five week rotations.
As a preceptor for our Advanced Community Practice rotations, you will be asked to participate in the study. Late this spring you will receive a packet of information in the mail about the study. This packet will contain a survey and a consent form, which you will need to complete and return to the school of pharmacy. At the end of the school year we conduct focus group meetings with students & preceptors to evaluate the rotations and to determine the differences in the 10 week versus 5 week rotations. We will also evaluate the students' ability to complete a project in the 10 week rotation versus the 5 week rotations.
